Garfunkel and Oates

I'm in love with the barely contained anti-social rage. And the ukulele. Their names are Riki Lindhome and Kate Micucci. Can they be on TV all the time? Please?

So Kate was a recurring character on Scrubs for a while, as sweaty lawyer Ted's girlfriend and the weird, sometimes violent Uke player who sang to the kids in the children's ward. On at least one episode she and Ted dueted on a safe for television version of G&O's "F**k You." That and she is always around in those Hillshire Farms and tax preparation commercials. The joys of being a working actress I suppose.

Rikki is on TV all the time, but usually as a victim of some sort of violent crime in a police procedural, although she had a wonderful spot in an episode of Pushing Daisies. She also made a short film a few years back called Life is Short that is cute in just the right way if you can find it, although last time I looked for it YouTube had yanked it because of copyright issues with the soundtrack.

So, yeah.

Now I think I remember reading about ukuleles cropping up on Scrubs, maybe in Venus Zine. I don't watch a lot of TV because these two don't have their own late night show yet. But now that you mention it Ms. Lindhome suddenly looks at lot more familiar.
