Corny Ambrosia

I was never that into Ritter Sport chocolate until I had the kind with cornflakes. Now I might develop a problem. The cornflakes impart an intoxicating honeyed flavor and a crunchiness unparalleled among the sweet snack foods. (Savory is another story.) This is so weird. I also don't generally care about crunchiness.

I wonder what the "Sport" is supposed to mean.

I have to say, the dark chocolate with marzipan bars are one of my favorite candies in the entire world. I didn't know they made a corn flake bar. This might change breakfast forever....

I always imagined the sport was because it was "sporty." You know, sleek and portable. As opposed to truffles or something. I'll stop making shit up now.

Ya know, we sell these (as well as several other types of Ritter Sport) in the candy shop I work in. But the only people who buy the Cornflake or the Biscuit ones are the European customers. I've been told that cornflakes, like as a cereal or something isn't that common over there, so that's why it gets put into chocolate as like a novelty/specialty item. I guess?
