Shinji Masuko from DMBQ/Boredoms sent out a call for donations to help people directly which was posted on the Mad Decent blog and many other places. He also suggested donating to ShelterBox. ShelterBox is a good option if you want to know where your money went. You can get a tracking number for an actual box of relief supplies that you contributed to and you can find out literally where it went.
